Subject: Holding out

A front page article details the gains property owners made by holding out and hiring professional
help. (“Flexing legal muscles pumps up land prices for light rail project” 10/31/2011) The gains noted
were 18%, 27%, 33% and 16% but you fail to mention how much of that went to the lawyers. An
objective reporter should be curious as to who benefitted from jacking up the cost to the public. Can
we expect a followup?
