Hatched

I recently hatched from a self-protective egg
And I am figuring out what God made me to be
And how He wants to use me.
I spent so many years trapped inside my safe egg
But now I see the world in wide-eyed wonder
And have joined in the throng of all creation
Singing praises to His name!
My Creator called me to break out of my shell
That held me trapped and insecure
And I understand that I am worthy because of Christ’s sacrifice for me
I have no shame by the power of His name
And His Words of Life are feeding me
So that I can grow stronger every day
And now God is pushing me out of my cozy little nest
And I am learning how to fly
Into His sovereign will
For the rest of my days
And for all eternity
