But how can you avoid the big issue -- promiscuity -- and instead imply that hope lies in openness and medication? Sure, the mother of four might have avoided infection if her husband had admitted his positive status. But how did he get it? And who infected the 15 year old girl? Drugs can help delay the inevitable for some but true hope for the future lies in a moral change. Uganda has dramatically dropped its HIV rate with promotion of faithful marriage and sincere Christianity. It may not be "politically correct" but it works! Ross S.
