From: Ross Olson [ross@rossolson.org] Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2013 To: Editor Star Tribune (opinion{at}startribune.com) Subject: Disconnect I see articles about the Boy Scouts voting to allow homosexuals as leaders. Then I see articles about the history of sexual abuse of boys by Scout leaders. Does anybody notice the connection? Ah, you will say, sexual abuse of girls by men is more common. OK. But remember that homosexuals are about 2 – 3 percent of the population or less. The likelihood of a homosexual man abusing a boy is about 40 times greater than the likely possibility of a heterosexual man abusing a girl. And in multiple studies, even run by gay researchers, 25% of gay men admit that as adults, aged 21 or older, they had sex with boys under 16. Ross S.
