From: Ross Olson [ross{at}rossolson.org] Sent: Sunday, December 11, 2011 7:57 PM To: Editor Star Tribune (opinion{{at}startribune.com) Cc: 'ktillotson@startribune.com' Subject: Media Abuse In “Sports Can Act As Cover For Abusers” (12/11/2011) the author assumes to have done due diligence by citing recognized authorities who conclude that sexual abuse of boys by men has nothing to do with homosexuality. It is the privilege and responsibility of media to speak truth to power and that includes looking behind the words. In many studies, including those sponsored by gay researchers, about 25% of adult homosexual men admit that while over 21 years of age they have had sex with boys under 16. This it widespread to the point that gay defenders claim it is the boy who is the sexual aggressor. Yet for an academic career in any field touching this issue there is an iron curtain of political correctness enforced by ostracism or ridicule and exclusion from grants, publication, tenure or employment. Do you have the investigative nerve to lift the corner of that rug? Ross S. Olson MD Send comments to me at ross{at}rossolson.org The URL for this document is |
