Subject: Open message to President Donald Trump

I ask that this message somehow make its way to someone who can inform the
President.
President Donald Trump,
I voted for you both in 2016 and this year. I appreciate your stand for life and your
courage to do the right things in the middle east, acknowledging Israel’s capital and
facilitating treaties between Israel and Arab nations.
I also know that you have been treated very shabbily by your political enemies who
attacked the legitimacy of your election from the beginning and never let up.
But I ask you, even as you exhaust every resource to explore whether the election was
legitimate, that you follow the command of Jesus Christ to love your enemies. That
does not mean agree with your enemies but to treat your enemies as you would want to
be treated. In fact, to return good for evil and to want God’s best even for people who
oppose God’s laws.
Matthew 5:44-45 “But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the
evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
It was God’s will that you be elected in 2016 and serve these 4 years and it may be His
will that you serve another 4, or it may not. But God has a plan, for the country and for
you. Although people plan, God has final authority and if we read the back of the book,
we know that He wins!
