Jann Linn (Star Tribune, October 19, 2002) states that "The Christian Right" is wrong to think that the Bible "says" anything, because "every translation is an interpretation and every preacher is an interpreter of that interpretation." This is really fascinating. Does the good Reverend intend to say that the Bible has no meaning at all and the text is merely a spiritual Rorschach Test? I guess it doesn't matter, though, because the fallback position will certainly be that, after all, ancient material has no appliction to us anyway. Ross Olson 5512 14th Ave. So.
