From: Ross Olson [ross{at}rossolson.org] Sent: Tuesday, October 18, 2011 10:18 AM To: Editor Star Tribune (opinion{at}startribune.com) Subject: Donor Disclosure and Secret Ballot How can people who find a right to privacy that allows abortion think it is their right to know the identity of every person who supports a cause with which they disagree? What is the purpose of knowing? Is there any possibility of harassment or actual persecution? Even if it is only intended to decrease giving through implied threat, does that allow the democratic process to work? Why was the secret ballot invented?
