From: Ross Olson [ross{at)rossolson.org] Sent: Friday, August 27, 2010 To: Editor Star Tribune (opinion@startribune.com) Subject: Stem cells Stem cells So liberals are appalled when a judge actually upholds the law! (“Stem Cell Research is Stymied: Good or Bad” 8/27/2010) Does being uninvolved in the illegal procurement of material make one blameless in using it? Would a company that made lampshades from human skin, bought at auction, get away with that sort of excuse? People who call it wrong to carve ivory fail to see the connection. And, by the way, why is it not reported that the only therapeutic successes are with adult stem cells? Is embryonic stem cell research highlighted to justify abortion? Ross S.
