Subject: Search for God Can Go Astray
Eric Weiner notes with approval that we are religiously free to choose our own combination of
religious components (“The Search for God in a hybrid landscape” 1/1/2012). I am reminded of a
University professor who years ago commented on a new chapel, designed to be non-offensive. He
said, ”They nearly succeeded. It was offensive only to God.” If you are interested in God’s view of
mix and match, see I Kings 14: 22-24.
